How does diagnostic lab testing work?

Standard comprehensive blood panels are ordered through national laboratories (such as Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp). You complete your blood draw at a convenient local service center, and the results are routed directly to our practice for analysis.

Can I bring my own recent blood work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you have comprehensive blood work drawn within the past 3 to 6 months, we will review it during your initial intake. If key parameters are missing (such as free hormone levels, thyroid antibodies, or specific binding globulins), we order targeted add-on testing.

Question 4

What is the 24-hour urine hormone metabolite test?

A 24-hour urine hormone metabolite test looks at total daily hormone output and how those hormones are processed. We typically use it once a protocol is stable so we can see the pattern and decide whether the plan needs adjustment. It is one monitoring tool. It does not diagnose cancer, osteoporosis, or heart disease, and it does not by itself prevent those conditions. Breast imaging, bone evaluation, and routine health screening stay with your local clinician as appropriate.

Do I need a baseline mammogram before starting BHRT?

Yes. For female patients (unless you have a documented history of bilateral mastectomy), a baseline screening mammogram is required. We maintain regular safety screenings every 2–3 years thereafter, or annually as indicated by your clinical history.

What is the difference between Concierge Membership and Cash-Pay options?

Concierge Membership (Monthly or Annual): Our highest-level care model. It covers ongoing clinical access, protocol design, dose titration, all follow-up visits, and our premier specialized compounded body-identical hormones in organic oils (Bi-Est, progesterone, testosterone). (Diagnostic labs are billed separately by the lab or through your insurance/HSA/FSA). Cash-Pay Option: A lower-cost, standalone model for patients seeking essential care. You pay for clinical consultations individually. Protocols still utilize bio-identical hormones (which may include standard compounding or oral capsules), with medications and labs billed directly by the pharmacy and laboratory.

How are prescriptions fulfilled?

Prescriptions are issued only after a scheduled video visit, identity verification, history, and informed consent. Compounded bioidentical hormone formulations are prepared by a state-licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy and shipped to your address. Customized compounded preparations are not FDA-approved drug products. When a commercially manufactured medication is prescribed instead, the prescription is sent to a pharmacy you choose. You review the plan and cost before anything is dispensed. We do not compound medications in-house and we do not sell prescription drugs from this website.

Fees & cancellation — how does billing work?

We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance for membership or visit fees. The 15-minute discovery call is complimentary. How quickly will I notice results?

Hormone optimization is a gradual physiologic process: Weeks 2–6: Initial improvements in sleep quality, reduction in vasomotor hot flashes, and stabilized daytime energy. Weeks 4–12: Clarification of cognitive fog, stabilized mood, and reduced systemic inflammation. Months 2–4+: Improvements in libido, metabolic efficiency, and lean muscle tone (when paired with resistance training and adequate nutrition).

What does ongoing monitoring involve?
