Nature of Telehealth

Telehealth uses secure audio and video technology to deliver clinical care at a distance. Your visit may include history taking, review of laboratory data, prescription management, and clinical monitoring conducted remotely.

Benefits

• Access to specialized hormone and metabolic care without travel
• Efficient follow-up and dose titration between laboratory cycles
• Continuity of care across licensed states

Limitations & Risks

• Physical examination is limited; some conditions require in-person evaluation
• Technology failures may delay or interrupt a visit
• Rarely, transmitted information may be insufficient for clinical decision-making, requiring additional testing

Laboratory & Screening Requirements

Comprehensive laboratory evaluation is required before therapy begins and at defined monitoring intervals. Age- and sex-appropriate screening — including baseline mammography for eligible female patients — is a condition of ongoing therapy.

Emergencies

Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies. If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, or thoughts of self-harm, call 911 immediately.

Your Consent

By participating in a telehealth visit, you acknowledge that you understand the above, that you may withdraw consent at any time, and that your clinician may determine that in-person care is required.
